We spent last weekend scrubbing the decks and removing the interior along with pumping out many gallons of water. She has been standing on the hard for about 8 year and was claimed by White Bear Marina as none payments for moorings. We are just looking for a trailer to transport here to Glasson Basin Marina so we can start the refurbishments

Work we intend to do:

Remove all windows someone has replaced them but left the protective film on which has baked its self on so cannot remove it. Remove all the old paint off the hull and superstructure and around the cockpit area. Sand it all down and repair a few badly repaired areas mainly around the bow. Repaint the hull in Oxford blue and antifoul her in green with a white water line The deck and superstructure will be painted in white Refit windows Make new screen Replace canopy and frame. We have decided on the internal layout which we can start once she’s weather proof again Replace bulkhead Build new toilet compartment Re make seating with centre table which will drop to make a single berth on port side Forward re make the bow berth which will include central table. to create a double berth Starboard side fit full length galley with microwave, fridge, Smev sink and hob unit and gas water heater In the cockpit area we intend to build in bench seats with central table this again will form a double berth Included in cockpit will be gas bottle box, generator store with exhaust outlet to stern We need to re do all the steering to outboard as everything is worn out.

A battery compartment will be formed to take 2 110amp leisure batteries which will be charged via the outboard when running. Also incorporated into the battery area will be a mains charging system and full shore power. Shore power will be run through out the cabin area to provide power to appliances which will be mains and 12 volt. Buy 4” foam and covering material to cover foam and make curtains.

Once she is finished she will be moored in Glasson Basin Marina and used mainly on the Lancaster canal. And maybe occasional trips out in the river Lune and Morecambe bay and peel island on calm days. We also intend to use The Millennium link and get on to the Leeds Liverpool canal and maybe beyond.

I will be creating a photo log of the work as it progresses and upload these onto the internet. I will create a section on our Glasson Dock website www.glassondock.co.uk
